MCCMS Announcements
The Montgomery County Chamber Music Society ( http://mccms.info/ ) (MCCMS) is a group of intermediate and advanced musicians who meet to play in small ensembles each Friday evening in Rockville, Maryland. Instrumentalists of all types are welcome. We have piano-equipped rooms and an extensive library of sheet music ( http://media.wix.com/ugd/09df44_a3b84a3353d94413a3036ea08f991353.pdf ). You are welcome to bring music from your personal collection, too. No previous chamber music experience is required but sightreading is essential. For now, we are not holding physical meetings. However, if you would like to offer to play over the internet in the meantime, use the friday subgroup to self-coordinate ensembles: https://mccms.groups.io/g/friday When we are back in session, let us know by noon on each Friday if you're coming, the instrument(s) you're bringing, and a rough idea of your sightreading skill so we can group everyone into appropriate ensembles. You may also find our other subgroups of interest. Subgroups You Can Join

  • MCCMS Clarinet Ensembles
Welcome to this Groups.io subgroup for clarinet ensembles in and around Montgomery County MD. This is a subgroup of the larger group, Montgomery County Chamber Music Society. The purpose of this subgroup is to arrange clarinet ensembles apart from the usual Friday evening MCCMS meetings. To arrange an ensemble, post the details (when, where, # of clarinets needed, if stands are needed, music, and so on). Post a followup when you have enough clarinets and who you've selected. When we are not meeting physically such as the pandemic, this subgroup can be used to arrange virtual ensembles. To join this subgroup, first join MCCMS. (It's free.) In the application process, you'll get a questionnaire and you can indicate there that you want to join this subgroup. You can also join or leave this subgroup at any later time. • MCCMS Miscellany
The misc subgroup is for people to discuss any topics that don't fit into the other mccms.groups.io subgroups. Within reason, posts should be related to member interests. For example, you can post about concerts of other groups or that you are inviting MCCMS members to a non-MCCMS performance. More info: https://www.mccms.info
